Assistance Programs
Elder and Disabled Programs  

The Elder and Disabled Programs can assist qualified individuals and families obtain assistance payments through a number of programs:

Old Age Pension  

Provides financial assistance and health care benefits to qualified low-income adults age 60 and older

 Aid to Needy and Disabled/Blind

The program provides financial assistance to low-income Colorado residents age 18 to 59 who have at least a six-month total disability that precludes them from working.

Colorado Supplement Program

Provides payments and medical assistance to qualified Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients.

Home Care Allowance (HCA)

Special allowance for the purpose of securing services to an individual of any age, in his/her home, based on the case manager's assessment. The HCA is a non-entitlement program designated to serve those client's with the lowest functional abilities and the greatest need for paid care.

Long Term Care

Provides medical assistance to qualified aged, blind or disabled persons who need the level of care which is delivered in a nursing home.
